REVIEW: An unwanted guest – Shari Lapena

As the guests arrive at beautiful, remote Mitchell’s inn, they’re all looking forward to a relaxing weekend deep in the forest, miles from anywhere. They watch their fellow guests with interest, from a polite distance.

With a violent storm raging, the group finds itself completely cut off from the outside world. Nobody can get in or out. And then the first body is found… and the horrifying truth comes to light. There’s a killer among them – and nowhere to run!!

Firstly WOW 😮… definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars from me. I could hardly put the book down. It took me less than 2 days to finish it!!

I didn’t start off reading this with the WOW factor. I found that the first chapter was over-descriptive but as I got a little further into the book it soon started to remind me of sleep by C.L Taylor and I knew I was going to love it..

From the offset I wasn’t very keen on any of the characters but then candice cane along and hey .. she was a writer so obviously she became my favourite character…

As the plot continued i became more and more hooked, reminding me not only if sleep but murder mystery as well and I couldn’t put it down!! I had no idea who the killer was and was completely shocked when I found out and then well that little twist at the end just finished the book off perfectly!!

This is definitely worth the reads and one of my top 5 reads of the year
