Review: The surgeon – Tess Gerritsen
A killer who targets a lone woman and performs terrifying ritualistic acts of torture on them before finishing them off. His surgical skills lead police to suspect he is a physician who, instead of saving lives, takes them.
But as homicide detective Thomas Moore and his partner Jane Rizzoli begin their investigation, they make a startling discovery. Closely linked to these killing is Catherine Cordell, a beautiful doctor with a mysterious past. Two years ago she was subjected to a horrifying rape, and shot her attacker dead.
Now the man she believes she killed seems to be stalking her once again. And this time he knows exactly where to find her…
I absolutely loved this book, it was brilliant. There is actually no other way to describe it, the plot was just sheer genius, like how do you even come up with this kind of stuff… The surgeon and where he works and how he finds his victims. Like seriously how do you think of that. It really is just brilliant.
The chapters written by The surgeon were creepy as hell, but I loved them.
The characters were brilliantly written, and my favourite was Moore. He seemed like a sweetheart but was still a strong MC.
I actually can not wait to get home and start book 2.
